2019 – Tiling around the pool

This is a mammoth task! We made a serious start on it this summer with the area under the pergola being done first.

This whole area is so large that we decided to break it up with some areas with different colours and tiles, something we will continue around the whole pool area, as we have done on the main terrace.

We then went on to start the main area, with 2 3×3 blank areas to have a different pattern added to break up the large area.

This is a large area and you have to plan for drainage to the tiles slope away from the pool and also to the edge where water can drain – a nightmare!
