CCTV Server Problems.

Several people have asked why there haven't been any pictures of the pool recently. Well the answer is that the Video IP server had a problem on Tuesday and has been down since!

We had been watching the pictures of the pool being filled but during Tuesday the water level didn't seem to move at all, although like many things if you look at it for long enough you think it may be changing. Well at about 10 on Tuesday evening I looked again and there was the same picture, complete with sunshine. The penny then dropped we had been looking at the same image all day and the video server was playing tricks with us. No problem I thought , easy to fix, log onto the server and tell it to reboot. However the server closed down and never came back up again. How frustrating we have not been able to watch the pool being completed. However today a friend popped into the house and reset it for me.

Have now also purchased a more robust (and considerably more expensive) sever to take its place. Just need to get it down there, a good excuse for a visit in the next few weeks......
